Win a Lenovo ThinkPad E560 – AU/NZ Only

Several weeks ago, I compared the Lenovo ThinkPad E560 vs HP ProBook 450 G3 where both laptops came out pretty evenly well, with a few pros and cons depending on your preferences.

I’ve decided (with Lenovo’s blessing) that the Lenovo ThinkPad E560 should be given away as a prize to an Australian or New Zealand resident!

Sorry to other countries, but I’m personally paying for shipping on this and don’t know how much postage would cost to all corners of the globe, plus the power pack has the Australian/New Zealand connector on it :)

The laptop you might win!

I’ve personally reset the PC and put it back in it’s box, ready to be shipped at the end of the month.

Here’s the specs on this particular laptop (taken from Lenovo AU’s E560 site and only relevant specs left in):

  1. Hi! I was browsing your blog and noticed your articles are good very but you need SEO. SEO can….

Ahhh, got bored typing that. I

  2. Most excellent of you to make this offer.
Tell you what, if I were to win, I’ll pick up the shipping…

  3. Great competition mate. You surprise me sometimes. This laptop would be perfect for either of my daughters for school. I will pick up the tab on the shipping costs too mate.

  4. Wow Adam, extremely generous. This would be an amazing upgrade for my wife and mean she doesn’t have to disappear into the office.

  5. I’ve been wanting an upgrade from my 8 year old HP which is on its last legs, Lenovo is a great and reliable brand!

  6. After my Lenovo 2 in 1 laptop’s motherboard fried after 2 months of ownership, I can never look at one the same ever again, make me change my mind.

  7. This would make a great upgrade from my old ACER Travelmate – found the receipt on the weekend, bought it in 2008 and it was top of the line with 1gb memory, 1gb hdd, now the poor old things struggles with practically everything except basic emails. Winning would mean a nice alternative to having to choose a new budget laptop! How did you get them to agree to give one away :) Thanks for the opportunity to enter!

  8. This would be a great present for my mom. She’s been looking to buy a new laptop and I’d love to surprise her with this

  9. After three Lenovo laptops now I admit I’m somewhat of a convert. My latest is just two months old now but even the oldest gets daily usage. Lenovo are not perfect – the latest came missing the tiny piece of plastic that holds the SIM card – but I’ve not regretted purchasing any of them, especially at the prices paid. Thanks for the opportunity to win and because I don’t need another right at this time I have a very special, deserving person in mind for a great Christmas present!

  10. Hey, Big fan of Lenovo, my e350 is still going strong, expect for the huge Gash down the screen. Can’t afford to get a new laptop anytime soon but this would be awesome! Thanks for the comp !

  11. Been looking at lenovo strongly for my next laptop. Cant be much worse than my current macbook. $3.5k poorly spent there.

  12. Hay goodluck everyone, I haven’t any experience with the brand Lenovo but have seen some products at Harvey Norman 👍🏼

  13. Thank you very much for the chance, my computer is so slow and ancient, this would be a dream come true :)

  14. So I’m laying here in bed on my day off. It’s 8:53am and my little (almost 3 year old) daughter is next to me watching the Galantis ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’ film clip for the 9th time this morning.
Funny how repetition can bring joy to a child, but temporary insanity to an adult.
    Anyway…
I don’t know how I stumbled across your page. Fate? Universal alignment? Rainmain like powers brought on by the Peanut Butter Jelly induced temporary insanity??? Nonetheless, I’m here and I now have new IT advice/info feeds on FB and learnt a little bit about the Lenovo E560. Not a bad start to the day.
Although, if I hear that ‘Peanut Butter Jelly’ song one more time… :-P
    Thanks Adam

  15. With the kids getting older and doing more homework, it’s time to invest (or hopefully win) a laptop to help them with their studies. I’d love to use it too to plan family holidays (or at least google images and dream a bit).

  16. Hi, Adam, great prize, thanks so much for making it available to some worthy individual. I hope the lucky winner is excited as much as I am at the simple prospect of winning it!

  17. I read through the impressive specs and, for a split second, I thought the warranty expired in 2029! Haa…off to have some coffee. The Lenovo ThinkPad E560 definitely ticks all the boxes for me. Thanks, Adam.

  18. I start university next year and currently don’t have any mobile device/laptop to use for notes or assignments! I would love to win this laptop so I can study successfully with a wonderful device!

  19. This will be perfect for my son who needs one for a BYOD scheme at high school next year. Thanks for the write up.

  20. Hi! I’d love to win as my HP laptop is doomed! Replaced the screen due to my son headbutting it, and now the keypboard’s gone, so I’m using an external one. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a ‘lap’top! Cheers!

  21. Had a Lenovo – the build quality is quite good and their prices seem to be reasonable, especially for the business models.

  22. Awesome comp! This Lenovo would be perfect for my studies and with it’s impressive specs could even think about running some games on it. The Graphite Black is so cool too omg. xD

  23. Nice prize! Would love to pass this on to my young son. His last pass down (A Dell XPS 13 (L401X)) has blown speakers AND Windows 10 keeps updating the graphics drivers constantly even though I’ve tried every trick in the book (correction: on Google) to stop it doing so. Meaning the ONLY driver that actually works with Steam on his XPS/Windows 10/Optimus/420M graphics combination (345.20) keeps getting wiped rendering his carefully monitored weekend play time as useless. Thanks a lot Anniversary Update!

Seriously though he’s due for a new one for school and play but I’m counting pennies at the moment so it’s not on the cards yet. This would make a great pre-Christmas present.

Apart from that good luck to everyone else also and thanks for the comp.

  24. Hi, I would love to win this beautiful Laptop because my current Laptop is so slow to do anything – going on Word, the Internet, Music, games, anything.I seriously need an upgrade.

  25. wow, super giveaway, thank you, for this opportunity. I am president secretary of the over 55s community village where I live, and a laptop will make things so much easier to take notes at meetings,

  26. Lenovo have a great reputation and I would love to try this Thinkpad, my old laptop is ready for the retirement home!

  27. Great to see the Lenovo E560 has 3 USB 3.0 ports. Future proofing is very important, especially on laptops.

  28. This would be perfect for my daughter for school, her last tablet is now old, slow and cracked and she has been asking for one of these for the last year, she would be so excited :)

  29. Thanks for the review, I found it very interesting. I would love to win because I’m currently borrowing my sons laptop until I can afford one myself.

  30. awesome prize. this computer woud really hlp me with posting on my facebook blog two peas in a pod. I need something reliable for the work I do with helping promote authors

  31. I would love to win because I desperately need a new laptop, my old one has just suddenly stopped working.

  32. Our oldest has started high school this year and constantly trying to nick my laptop. This would be a great one for her to get started in her own computer world.

  33. I’m currently using my partner’s old work laptop, it’s old, glitchy, unreliable. The worst part is, I can’t remove the old anti-virus program no matter what I do! I’ve been saving hard for a new laptop, but I’m always going two steps back due to bills coming out left right & centre. >_<

  34. Great competition – love to win this for myself then my kids can have my old laptop to play games on – no more fighting ;)

  35. Would love to have this as my current laptop is literally falling apart piece by piece.

    Good luck to everyone! :)

  36. Good Review Adam. The pointing stick has been included on Lenovos for a long time, but I wonder how many people actually use it?

  37. Hi… awesome thing you are doing for your readers. If I win, you’re going to become a regular post I check whenever I log online. Signing out. The Panda.

  38. My ancient HP is about to cark it. Every day I plead for it to last a little longer. A Lenovo would be like heaven.

  39. Would love to upgrade my current ThinkPad. She’s served me well, but my E531 is getting a bit long in the tooth and the battery doesn’t last as long as it used to.

  40. Looks top notch! I’m not having much luck with laptops right now. The one I am on now is covered in sellotape as the screen hinge is broken. My replacement laptop is always 100% CPU and so slow / blue screened about 4 times and only had it 2 weeks. Utter rubbish!

  41. Functional and compact,
    I’d be happy with that.
    Great for the commute,
Meaning my part time studying will go beaut.

  42. Thanks for the blog.. and the competition! I have been looking at upgrading my poor old Lenovo so I learnt a few things too! its looks like a great laptop.

  43. Studying two diplomas,
    Website development and graphic design,
my current computer can’t handle it.
    This is compact,
    and easy to pack.
    for all my course needs.

  44. A bit of a coincidence but was just googling Lenovo today to find the best price for a think pad because my son needs one for grade 4. This prize would be a godsend.

  45. Many thanks for the chance…my daughter has her fingers crossed really tightly for this Lenovo ThinkPad for her senior years ahead next year :) Best of luck everyone

  46. This is a very generous giveaway. Can’t say I deserve it any more than the next person but it sure would be nice :)

  47. Looks all pretty good with the exception of the drive – I’d imagine I’d swap that out with an SSD pretty quickly. I’ve started revisiting the idea of switching back to windows after the pricing on MBPs made my eyes bleed!

  48. Thank you for the chance to win Adam, I am totally over borrowing my children’s computers and so are they!

  49. thank you for the beautiful prize. After a hell of a year this is something I truly needed in my life to lift me up

    thank you

    1. Glad to hear it… Everyone else is jealous of course but enjoy the latop… Would love to see a photo once you’re set up!
